It made me feel so good

The snow is dancing like feathers to the tune of harp music, heaping up softly on my shoulder... and on the road. I like taking strolls while it is snowing, odd as it may sound. But not driving. Down the road a guy's car was spinning wheels on the slippery surface where the salt truck had not delivered yet. There simply was no grip for the tires. I walked toward him and saw another guy crossing the road to the car as well. Then, without a word, we both started pushing the car. In a jiffy, the car went forward. We waved the driver to keep going - he waved back. Then the other guy, I don't even know his name, said thanks. I said, "You're welcome." He walked off but then turned around and said, "I really mean it, thanks." It was not even his car - maybe the driver was a friend of his. Still, it made me feel so good. Today I discovered that a simple "thanks" is as good as a compliment.
